Shaun White meets two fellow extreme sports legends at the Oscars

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced Shaun White as a presenter at the 2022 Oscars. Thus, White attended the pre-Oscars party as well, where he met two legends.

Shaun met skateboarding legend Tony Hawk and legendary surfer Kelly Slater at the Oscars. In fact, the Academy had announced all three of them as presenters for this year’s Oscars award presentation.

It was fifty-two-year-old Tony Hawk who took to Twitter to share a photo of the three legends together. Moreover, his caption for the image was quite hilarious, too.

“And the Oscar goes too… standing on a board sideways!” Hawk wrote on his Twitter feed. Additionally, he used skateboarding, snowboarding, and surfing emojis next to his caption- one for each of the trio.

White talked about ‘unretiring’ like Tom Brady

NFL legend Tom Brady shocked the world with his decision to ‘unretire’ a month after choosing to quit the sport. On the other hand, Shaun White, who just retired last month after the Beijing Winter Olympics, has no such plans.

White pointed out how what sets him apart from Tom Brady post-retirement is the fact that he can continue enjoying snowboarding casually.

“I understand for someone like Tom Brady or anyone else, where I don’t know, what you do go play a pickup game at the local YMCA? Like, what do you do?” White said in an interview.
