Along with framing a multitude of accolades on his wall of fame, Hawk also made a name for himself in the world of video gaming. Hawk is the owner of the skateboard company Birdhouse and was the first to complete 900 skateboarding tricks in 1999. He left the internet stunned after he revealed that he earned millions of dollars from the very first three video games. The talented skateboarder has a series of video games named in his honor. The first video game named ‘Pro Skater’ came out by Activision and had Hawk as the cover star.
Back in 2018, in an interview with the Nine Club, Tony Hawk revealed that he banked $4 million from the first three video games, which were released from 1999 to 2001.
The first video game was one of the most famous skateboarding games of its time and more were to be released connected to the series. Till today there are sequels coming out of this game. The second part, third, and fourth ones of the Pro Skater series came out in the following years. Tony expressed that the Pro Skater games were very amazing.

Tony Hawk proudly says that the total earnings he earned from the video games impacted his life for the better. He felt overwhelmed when he received his first paycheck for the games. He expressed that while the fourth part was about to get released, he stated that the main contact at Activision asked him to have lunch with him in LA. The skateboarder never knew that people were so much into games related to skateboarding and the release of the sequels was a bigger shock to him.
He added about the contact, “He’s not the head but he’s definitely the guy overseeing our games.” The Activision contact stated to Tony that they are about to release the fourth part of the game and the previous three were still in the top 10 list of sales. Then he added, “He’s like so things are way bigger than you ever thought, and he handed me a check for $4 million.” He was overwhelmed by the response and stated, “I might have put it in the ATM. I’m not kidding, I was always on the go back then. I was just like alright, here we go. No, I don’t want to downplay that.” The skateboarder expressed that the video games changed his life.
