This was not the first skateboarding car accident reported but it is frequent now. A similar accident was reported in April when a 16-year-old was traveling to West Davie Avenue on his skateboard and was hit by a car. Later in June, an 18 years old boy from Statesville died despite life-saving efforts after getting struck by a car.  These sorts of accidents have become pretty common when young souls bid their goodbyes a little too early.
