Metropolitan New York City is a place for everyone to fit in with its famous districts, and endless energy. Every generation living in the city enjoys every bit of New York, whether he is a toiler or a tourist, they find a place to scoop in. The chaotic streets are always busy with celebrations and skaters. Yes, skateboarding is a famous aspect of the city and was established as a counterculture attitude in 1975. 

There are many popular spots in New York for local and tourist skateboarders. And if you have ever been to New York for skating, you must have seen Chris Cornphoto, a famous skateboarder. He is always around the city streets pushing and riding his bike and photographing the skateboarders. Cornphoto is currently on a skateboarding vocation to raise awareness in action for deaf skateboarders with struggling financial backgrounds. 

The skateboarding quest of Chris Cornphoto

Chris Cornphoto is a deaf skateboarder who is on a mission to ride over 1200 miles from New York to Tampa. He will be making stops along the way to shoot photos and skate. Cornphoto is raising money for the deaf skateboarding community and he wants to spread the word put bring awareness to action sports. An Instagram handle for skateboarding ‘Gnarmads’ posted his video briefing the story. 

Chris asserts with his sign language, “I’m riding my bike from New York City to Tampa, Florida to raise money for deaf skateboarding photographers. I’m a deaf photographer myself who is struggling to make a living. I want to use this journey as a platform to raise awareness for myself and other deaf skateboarders and photographers in the greater skateboarding community.” According to TransWorld Skateboarding magazine, Chris also posted it on the GunFundMe site to collect funds for his community.

Chris Cornphoto raises funds for a noble cause 

Chris in his fundraising draft says that he will be riding 1200+ miles in different cities which will take him 8 weeks to complete. On 4th August, he started his journey from New York, and on September 22, he will be finishing it in Tampa, FL. While he will be riding the East Coats, he will stop at a few spots to catch up with other photographers and skateboarders. All the collected funds will go to travel expenses, supplies, and printing promotion for a photography book. And this book will be bringing attention to Chris’s life and struggles within the skateboarding industry.

Cornphoto wants to connect the entire skateboarding community with this book. And he will be using the money for his accommodation, travel, and printing expenses along the journey. He is a usual skateboarder with an extraordinary purpose to serve society and what he is doing for his community, is certainly commendable. Hopefully, he will be able to accomplish his dreams by September and reach much manier milestones.
