Xgames the annual skateboarding competition had commenced earlier in California. The event held various challenges like skateboarding, BMX freestyle, and Moto X competitions. More than 150 athletes were seen participating in different events. Now, finals of every event are underway and one is bound to see the best talent competition for the podium finish.
Such talent was seen and appreciated by the skateboarding legend Tony Hawk. He was there giving a live commentary of the events when that feat happened leaving him astonished. In the clip, he can be seen screaming after watching the trick performed by Alex Perelson at the vertical skateboarding finals.
Tony Hawk left amazed by the trick

Tony Hawk shared a clip of vertical skateboarding finals on his official Instagram page. In the clip, skateboarder Alex Perelson starts his maneuvers by simply sliding on the slope. He then does his first trick of double flipping in the air 360 degrees. After that, he performs the kickflip. Then the skater proceeds to a simple move a few times and then performs the unbelievable. He can be seen flipping in the air 360 degrees twice before landing perfectly on the slope.

This trick known as Tail Grab Mackenzie caught the legend by surprise and he screamed in awe. Later on, the trick was also performed by another skateboarder, Jimmy Wilkins. The post got more than forty thousand likes and was an instant hit on the internet.

Tony Hawk’s famous tricks
The legend who was instrumental in creating awareness about the sport and popularising it has himself done so by showing various tricks. His most famous one is the 900. It is a two-and-a-half-rotation aerial trick that was considered impossible before he performed it in 1999. Another trick is a front-side 540-degree flip in which the board has to flip twice completely. The Saran wrap trick was where you grab the nose and wrap the front foot around the nose of the board switching hands while doing so. The ollie-to-Indy trick is where the skateboarder uses his backhand and grabs the board on the toe side between the skater’s feet.

The trick performed by the skateboarder in the clip was an amazing one and the awe of the legend has sealed its supremacy.
