“You’re Both GOAT”: Tom Brady’s Resemblance With Tony Hawk Was Acknowledged by His Team After Curious Fan Complimented Skateboarding Legend

In fact, he recounted several incidents where fans mistook him for another person or an athlete, like Tom Brady. 

The NFL is home to several legendary athletes, and Brady sits atop the list. He is arguably the greatest quarterback of all time, slaloming dishes to his teammates further upfront on the field. Once, Hawk got mistaken for the NFL icon and recollected the whole story. 

Can’t anyone recognize Tony Hawk?

There have been many past instances where people mistook Hawk for another person. Hawk is a person who doesn’t steal the spotlight, and the humble, down-to-earth skateboarder, can often do things he loves as people rarely disturb him. Hence, he sat at a restaurant when a fan came in and asked, “You famous?” Hawk replied cheerfully, “I think that depends on who you ask.”

Of all the names out there, the fan genuinely thought he was Tom Brady, from the New England Patriots, during that time. “Anyone ever tell you that you look like Tom Brady?,” said the fan, as Hawk replied, “Never.” It is just hilarious to see people not realize that this man brought skateboarding to the mainstream community. But, the official Twitter handle of the New England Patriots team gave a telling response to those incidents.

“We can see the resemblance. You’re both (GOAT Image),” mentioned the tweet. Fair to say, they are the greatest of all time in their respective fields. 

True legends of their game

Talking about their achievements in their respective sport might not end up in this article because there are plenty. To give a snippet of information, Brady is a seven-time Super Bowl champion and a five-time Super Bowl MVP. Tom has achieved greatness like no one else and continues to play after retiring for a brief period. As for Hawk, he did the first documented 900 skateboarding trick in 1999. Apart from that, he has a video game under his belt while investing in various skate parks across the land. 

Recognition comes with success. But for Hawk, it is a blessing in disguise that he often never gets recognized in public. He surely might be the luckiest celebrity in the world who can enjoy wherever he goes without causing much panic around him. What a legend!
