While movies often portray characters who challenge their physical strength to the extremes, Tony Hawk is a real-life example of it. If there is one word that can aptly describe the skateboarding legend, it’s ‘Unstoppable’. Hawk is 53, but his passion for skateboarding stands strong against his age or physical limitations.
The legend broke his femur just before the day his documentary’s trailer came out, and after much wait, ‘Tony Hawk: Until the Wheels Fall Off’, has finally been released on HBO today. It’s a chronicle of an incredible athlete who never gave up on his dreams.

The unstoppable Tony Hawk
While the doctors have defined his femur injury as serious, Tony Hawk is still adamant about the deadline he has set for his recovery. When asked about how he was holding up with his recovery process, he said, “I just had some X-rays, and I’ll see my doctor on Monday. His attitude is basically that my leg is never going to be stronger than it is now, so if I can handle the pain, then go for it.”

He also took responsibility for his insane recovery goals and added, “I’m in uncharted waters here, but it’s all on me. If I can drop the cane by next week, I’ll be on track.”
Tony is eying for an event in Las Vegas on May 12. He is determined to skate as the event will feature Devo, Modest Mouse, Descendents, Warish, and the best vert skaters. There’s no chance Tony is going to miss it.
