Is the Skateboarding King Tony Hawk back in the game? In March 2022, the 55-year-old legend got a painful injury when he crumpled, resulting in a broken femur. Hawk shared a message on Instagram with his fans at the time. His femur injury was much worse and more severe for his age. Hawk promised his fans that he would make a comeback, but not to the fullest capacity as he had already approached midlife. “I’m up for the challenge,” he said.
Almost a year and a half has passed since the injury. The skating icon, it appears was very serious about the challenge. The Birdman was seen performing skating tricks in the most recent video at XGames 2023.

XGames posted a reel on Instagram in which Tony Hawk was seen skating and cheering his fans on. The post was captioned as “Tony F*ckin Hawk. Don’t you wished, you watched this live?” It looks as though Hawk is not done astounding his fans with his skating maneuvers. Hawk was really excited after successfully taking on the 540 at XGames and went off the court to hug his wife, Catherine Goodman. At the same time, fans went nuts watching the enthusiastic Birdman taking on the arena as if it was a piece of cake. It’s clear that the legendary athlete still has plenty of tricks up his sleeve, and fans can’t wait to see what he’ll do next.

Hawk’s Vert Alert is a two-day vert skateboarding competition that will serve as a qualifying event for XGames vert competition this year. During the event, all skaters are provided an opportunity to participate for prize money. However, the fans were the most excited about Hawk’s performance.

Many fans poured their love for the skater in the comments section. One fan wrote, “The man is absolutely incredible. I was a kid growing up watching him crush people on the half pipe typically after I watched gleaming the cube the guy still crushing people on the half pipe.” A fan called the skater a “LIVING LEGEND.” Moreover, another also appreciated his skills by saying “Birdman re-defining the timeline. The Hawk continues to fly.”

While one fan showed his respect towards the player by commenting, “My Hats Off to You.” After all the injuries and setbacks, Tony Hawk’s comeback is nothing short of a miracle. And the fans are nothing but happy for the skater as they hope for Hawk’s comeback to be a hit.
