Kid Cudi: Tony Hawk’s star student in the making!

Star skateboarder, Tony Hawk, posted an Instagram story featuring the rapper practicing skateboarding. The video was captioned, “@kidcudi Star student,” followed by, “(2nd lesson and killing it!).” Kid Cudi also went on to reshare the story.

Back in September, the rapper announced on Twitter that he would be training under Tony Hawk to get back to skating.

Now, armed with the legend’s encouraging words, the rapper might come up with some cool moves soon.

The iconic skateboarder has been teaching the sport to various celebrities. From singers like Avril Lavigne, actors like Jay Pharoah to social media personalities like Addison Rae – Tony Hawk has taught them all.

The pro skater also has an adorable video of him teaching his daughter how to skateboard. Apart from this, he also has a MasterClass on the basics of skateboarding and how to go about it.

The star athlete has had a long and successful career. However, he recently incurred a life-changing injury that he’s now slowly and steadily recovering from. Back in March 2022, Hawk broke his femur while performing a skateboarding trick. After surgery and some physiotherapy, the star is back up on the ramp, albeit, with some restrictions on his movement.

While it will take the icon some time to completely bounce back, the accident hasn’t deterred his spirit. Skateboarding is Hawk’s passion, and his achievements so far are a testament to his love for the sport.
