Tony Hawk has recently been giving rapper Kid Cudi some skateboarding lessons. Hawk is one of the greatest skateboarders of all time and is still skateboarding in his 50s. Recently, the snowboarding and rap music communities have gone insane over the collaboration of Hawk and Cudi.

Born in 1968, in Carlsbad, California. Tony Hawk’s interest in skateboarding was there from the beginning. With all the support from his parents, Hawk did prove to the world that he was one of the most successful skateboarders. He also owns a skateboarding company, Birdhouse. He even has his own gaming franchise published by Activision.

Currently, Tony Hawk is teaching his moves to Cudi and seems to be having fun himself as well. Hawk even got his femur broken, but he still kept going.

Talking about his lessons with Cudi, Hawk was all praise for the rapper.

“I’ve given him two lessons so far and it has been gratifying to see his commitment to the process,” Hawk tweeted out and continued with, “Rarely do beginners take direction so well or progress as quickly.”

Tony Hawk, while teaching Kid Cudi, was surprised by the moves Cudi had. A legendary skateboarder like Hawk getting surprised by watching an amateur is really a big deal. Skateboarding isn’t an easy sport. It takes a lot of guts to skateboard because it is prone to many accidental incidents.

Hawk tweeted, “he’s taken some slams, only to get back up like a true skater.” Cudi stated that it was the first time in 17 years since he skated. It looks like both of them are having a good time on the ramp.

Even a major injury can’t stop the legendary skateboarder

Tony Hawk suffered a major injury on March 7th, 2022, as he broke his femur. Hawk also broke his elbow 20 years ago and managed to make a full comeback.

His passion for skateboarding is unlimited, and he is not someone who will stop easily.

Despite all the injuries, Hawk still has incredible passion and does not want to stop. He is just keeping up the momentum in his life and is a great inspiration for the young skateboarders out there.
