Owensboro, the fourth largest city in Kentucky and the birthplace of Blue glass music will have an additional fun avenue this fall. The Professional Bull Riding is arriving in October this year. The popular event organizer has announced that the last Professional Bull Riding Challenger series event will be held in the city.

The news has generated excitement among the local rodeo community. Interestingly, the event will witness world-class athletes holding on to the beasts and scoring points on the board. The proceeds of the revenue from the event will go for charity and also pay tribute to the farming community of the city.

The city of Owensboro is all set to host the most anticipated PBR event. On 14th October, the Owensboro Sportscenter will flaunt the death-defying stunts, as cowboys and rodeos are girded up to grace their presence at the event with their staunch preparation. Interestingly, the PBR challenger series will have its last event before moving to finals in the city. The event is organized by the Rally Point Events, a nonprofit organization aimed at raising funds for veterans and youth in the area. The bull riding event is called PBR Bulls and Ghouls and shall be a Halloween-themed contest.

The Rally Point Events president, Lancy Yearby, anticipates that the top professionals of the game will take part in the contest, and more than two million people through national broadcast. Speaking about the event Yearby said, “We’re bringing the top-tier bull riding of the world to Owensboro“. She further said, “We’re talking João Ricardo Vieira and Bob Mitchell, it’s not your hometown rodeo or bull bash, it’s the real deal“. These types of events are usually held in big cities, but PBR got attracted to Owensboro due to its agricultural and farming landscape.

The event is sponsored by Jerry Ray Davis Chrysler, Ram, Jeep, and Dodge. According to the Rally Points Event’s president, this PBR event is distinctive in one more way. The proceeds from the event shall go back to the community through charity work.

Bull Riding event payback to Owensboro community

The Rally Point Events, a non-profit organization, will donate all the money earned from this highly anticipated PBR Challenger Series back to the Owensboro community. According to Yearly, “One hundred percent of the funds will go back to Owensboro to buy shoes for kids in need as well as take care of our veterans.” In the past, the organization has collaborated to provide thousands of pairs of shoes to kids of local community groups.

They have also worked for the support of veterans and have provided Combat Boots to Work Boots to them. Apart from this, they also provide funds and scholarships in collaboration with local Veteran’s Outreach Programs.
