Entering almost the last leg of the concert, the PBR Team Series has the rodeo fans at the edge of their seats. With just 9 more matches to go with 3 each at the home grounds of the Carolina Cowboys, Arizona Ridge Riders, and Texas Rattlers, the Cowboys are winning big. The persisting Cowboy Days will last from the 22nd to the 24th. And for an exciting first day, it was the rising stars against the rising stars.

The Carolina Cowboys defending their home ground performed a walk-off match against the Arizona Ridge Riders overtaking the scorecard. And after rightfully prideful of the moment, the team’s remarkable player Sage Kimzey took to Instagram to share the announcement. The recent win was an especially big one for the player, having hopped back on track after a recent recovery.

On Friday, the Carolina Cowboys went against the Arizona Ridge Riders, both of whom were placed close on the table. With a slow start to the match, the Cowboys fell out the first three frames. However, it was Sage Kimzey who helped the team get back on the map.

Riding atop Mike’s Motive, he put a massive score of 91-point ride on the board. Sage’s performance was just the right push for the team, though Cooper Davis performed a walk-off win; taking the scorecard to 178.25-173.75 in favor of the Cowboys.

Grateful for the win on the first evening of the Cowboy Days, Sage Kimzey shared a warming post on Instagram. Captioning the post, Sage wrote, “score one for the home team” and the fans couldn’t be more proud.

Sage Kimzey and Cooper Davis’s performance of the evening was what the team needed to get ahead. Jumping up one more stop on the table, it wasn’t a win just for the Cowboys but for Sage who got back on his feet after suffering a grievous injury.

Sage and the Cowboys Make a Comeback

When the Team Series season started back in July, the start wasn’t exactly what the rodeo star was hoping for. On July 28th, performing atop Devil’s Revenge, Kimzey, thrown off the bull and fell right on his shoulder. The injury cost Kimzey six weeks of the Team Series. However, making a recovery, Sage got back to his position on the 16th.

Following Sage’s injury, the team experienced a hiccup, pulling them down on the table. But slowly feeling the ground below their feet, the team stood up to gain momentum. Since Kimzey’s return, the team took over the Kansas City Outlaws and the table toppers, Austin Gamblers.

Furthering their streak, the team carried it to their homeland. Their win over the Arizona Ridge Riders was a 3rd consecutive win for the team. The continued performance of the Cowboys has put the team 4th on the table with 10-10.
