The Aulick Industries Champions Challenge is currently underway in Nebraska with top rodeo athletes and riders competing in various rodeo disciplines. The event is organized by Aulick Industries, a company that specializes in manufacturing agricultural equipment and truck bodies. After Resistol Rookie Kase Hitt’s exceptional performance secured victory in the rodeo, Jess Pope stepped up and brought his A-game.

With an estimated net worth of over a million dollars, the 24-year-old Kansas cowboy showcased his skill and prowess in the rodeo arena. “Rodeo is all about how you can handle your mental capacity and looking out the windshield instead of the rearview,” Rode had told Pro Rodeo following his Casper, Wyoming, victory.

Jess Pope wins big at Mitchell, Nebraska

With an 88.5-point ride on The Cervi Brothers’ Honcho, Pope secured the title, adding another victory to his list. He shared a 57-second clip on his Instagram account, announcing his win. He also added hashtags #DreamItDoItOwnIt and #BeCowboy.

This “young, soft-spoken” rodeo pro has earned $62,267 this season and holds the 13th position in world standing. However, he did have a slow start this year. His summer events in Arkansas and Texas secured his two paydays. Among them, his higher earnings came from the West of the Pecos Rodeo, where he successfully covered Pickett Pro Rodeo’s Queezy Roller for 88.5 points, earning a total of $2,594.

Despite encountering failures along the way, Jess Pope’s success story resonates more powerfully than ever. The 24-year-old won his inaugural world championship in bareback riding, an achievement complemented by his third consecutive National Finals Rodeo average title. He achieved the highest combined score across the competition.

The year he began his Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association career, Pope won the 2018 Permit Members of the Year Challenge at the South Point Equestrian Center in Las Vegas with a total of 153 points over two rounds. Inspired by Jeff Collins and Will Lowe, within just two years of his career, he finished third in the world standings. In 2022, he won the world championship and was positioned first in the Wrangler NFR standings.
