Accidents that occur from nowhere in a rodeo event can be quite harmful. A similar incident has taken place at the Utah County Fair. A rodeo bull broke free and ran out of the arena, running directly to the mother and brother of Lieutenant Governor Deidre Henderson in the parking lot. They were hit by a Texas Longhorn who has a very strong physique. He is an American breed of beef cattle and is especially categorized by his long horns. The horns of Texas can span more than around 8 ft from tip to tip.

This deadly rodeo bull went out straight from the arena to the parking lot where Henderson’s mother and brother were standing. After this freak accident, it is by luck that they have not suffered from any major accidents but surely have attained bruises on their body.

A massive rodeo bull attacks Lieutenant Governor’s family

A rodeo accident took place with Lt. gov. Deidre Henderson’s mother and brother on 3rd August, around 9:20 pm. According to The News Beyond, Jeremy Hulse and his mother, who is in her 70s came to the rodeo to watch family members participate in barrel racing. Both of them had left early and were walking towards the participant’s parking lot when they saw the bull coming towards them. The brother expressed, “All of a sudden I just saw this freaking bull just bucking right towards us.” The scene at the field was absolutely chaotic and horrifying to watch.

The entire incident of the bull causing rampage on the field has been recorded. In the event, it was clearly seen that after being run in a rodeo; the rider was trying to control the bull and, in the process, he breaks the gate open which lets the bull escape. He gets over one of the event staff and then ran towards the parking lot after it got loose from the arena. Following this, it proceeded to chase down the mother-son duo. Both of them luckily escaped but were unharmed.

When they saw the bull coming, at the right time Governor’s mother got into the cab of the truck with his son’s help. But he was stepped on by the bull and was hit by the bull’s bucking back end. The entire incident got over quickly under three to four minutes. Deidre Henderson states that the lucky part is that nothing major happened and both of them just sustained some cuts and bruises.

The reaction of the Governor and her family after the rodeo incident 

Deidre Henderson was very much annoyed after the entire incident. She expressed about her family, “They’re pretty shaken and I’m pretty pissed.” She also expressed on her social media, “Despite being chased, knocked down & stepped on (bro’s foot) they miraculously escaped with minor injuries.” The entire incident was called a freak accident by the Utah Country Sherriff’s Office spokesperson Sergeant Spencer Cannon.

The Sergeant also added that “the bull was being a bull,” he was not aiming for Hulse and his mother, he was just trying to find an escape. Although the Governor was pissed, her brother was grateful that they came out of this incident without any major injuries. Utah County Commissioner Tom Sakievich later contacted Deidre Henderson, promising her to check the gate and make sure that it gets fixed immediately.
