It is reported that once every seven days, a rodeo is held on private property in Chicago rodeos. And a pair of animal rights groups have filed a lawsuit against them. One is Boone County, and the other is the rural Will County. A very saddening and horrifying video of animals getting brutally slapped and kicked has been recorded through a drone. A member of a group called SHARK, which is Showing Animals Respect and Kindness, Steve Hindi has put up drones over the field.

Everything that happens in the private rodeo is clearly visible. For a very long time now, Hindi and other group members have been accessing drones to capture the private rodeos taking place in Boone County, Will County, and other places. The video captured in Will County shows the rodeo riders beating their horses. They were seen slapping the horses, and not just this, they were also seen showering punches on them.

This is not it, the video captured from Boone County is even more terrifying. The animals here are being tortured multiple times with electric sticks. They are being beaten so harshly that they suffer from broken bones and bleed for hours. The worst part is that these innocent beings get dragged by their horns and are lifted through an earthmover. After which they are thrown into the barn and then are shot to death. This cruelty and there should be no boundaries for forgiveness here.

It is heartbreaking to see the animals getting thrashed to the ground that too, for entertainment’s sake. The situations taking place in Boone and Will County are extremely disturbing, and now, after the videos are out, a lawsuit is being filed against Boone County. UIC Assistant Law Professor Conley Wouters expressed, “We think the violence would stop if we shut down these shows down.”

The Boone County authorities don’t even hide the things they are doing. They are aware of the drones looking right at them, but they still beat the living animals to a level one can’t imagine. Illinois has one of the strongest humane laws in the country and to witness this here is a very shameful thing. The groups have stated that the drone video has also been given to the Illinois Department of Agriculture, which is responsible for the enforcement of animal cruelty laws in Illinois.
