The 2023 San Antonio Rodeo introduced a festival packed with varying contests. The events included bull-riding, saddle bronc, barrel racing, mutton bustin’, and a lot more. However, on the 10th day of the event, 8 horses dangerously tangled up during a parade.

According to the video posted on YouTube, the Budweiser Wagon leading horses were misdirected by the driver which caused a panic. As the horses tried returning back to their places, each got caught up in a mix.

Following the incident, the staff rushed to untangle the creatures. The process took calm and experienced trainers, with a side of 8 minutes to release the horses. Though one of the creatures found it hard to stand up, the team was well and out in a matter of 10 minutes.

“It was scary,” said Anne Van Dyke, a horse trainer with more than 50 years of experience according to Ksat. “I think that the real takeaway from it was that they realized how big a hero these guys were and how big a hero the horses were because it truly could have been a disaster,” Van added. As per the reports, the horses were sent in for a check up and were declared unharmed. Despite the shake up, San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo managed to get back up and reach their goal of contributing.
