The official YouTube channel of PBR shared this clip on October 9, and it perfectly captures what an eight-second buzzer beater looks like. It was the Texas Rattlers’ Cody Jesus who entered the Fort Worth arena on the bucking bull Short Circuit, and he nailed the ride. Aggressive-looking Short Circuit tried his best to buck Jesus off, but the cowboy held on to the bull tightly and scored a ‘qualified ride.’ After his spectacular performance, he was asked about his feelings, to which the Rattlers star replied, “It feels good; I’m just having fun riding bulls now.”
He earned an impressive 89.5 points for his ride, catapulting the Texas Rattlers into a formidable position with this outstanding performance. Now the Rattlers have 56 Regular Season Qualified Rides, 56-for-140: 40% Regular Season Ride Percentage, two Regular Season Rides Per Game Average, and a 2-2 Regular Season Series score. 25-year-old Jesus just added another feather to his rodeo and professional bull riding crown as his team prepares to battle it out with the Missouri Thunder in Game 3 of the 2023 PBR Teams Championship on October 20.
