The PBR is a much-loved name in the bull-riding industry. Bringing up showcases and events through the course of the entire year, PBR has never left the fans with a dull moment. Now adding to its thrilling PBR Team series season, the notable and beloved rodeo host had an exciting event planned for the enthusiasts over the weekend. Back with its PBR Thunder Days involving the best of the world riders, the festival was scheduled to last from the 15th to the 17th of September.
Following along, cleaning up its space for the rodeo stars, Thunder Ridge Nature Arena in Ridgedale provided its ground for some squeakier performances. On its opening day, 4 of the top PBR teams performed to bag what they came for. And in the process, the teams just knew how to deliver a show; expectantly taking it to the edge of the scorecard.
It’s Home Team Against the Outlaws For Opening

The first two teams to make a go for the title on the night of the 15th were the Kansas City Outlaws and the Missouri Thunder. Starting the first match of the night, the two teams rode the bulls for a tie. Outlaws’ Wingson Henrique da Silva and Thunder’s Joao Lucas Campos performed to gain a tying score of 87 points. Following the duo’s efforts, the team had three performers each left.
Going further, when Outlaws’ Cassio Dias experienced four consecutive buck-offs, failing to stay atop, the team was awarded a re-ride according to pbr.com. Jumping to the opportunity, Outlaws’ Kyle Oliver took the ride. Performing atop Tijuana two-step, Kyle experienced an indecision leading to the replay judge’s involvement. However, overcoming the hiccup, Kyle led the team to a straight victory with his walk-off ride.
The match ended with 172.50 to 87 on the scorecard in favor of the outlaws. Following the victory, the Outlaws took to Instagram to share their moment all in praise of Kyle Oliver. Captioning the post, Outlaws wrote, “KYLER OLIVER WITH THE WALK OFF! The Rodeo Outlaw took full advantage of the reride opportunity to keep us undefeated against our in-state rivals.”

The match was Outlaws’ 4-match winning streak for the season.

However, the team wasn’t the only one with the upper hand for the night. One of the following teams was at an advantage over the other.

It Was a Thriller Evening For the Rodeo Enthusiasts
Chiming in for the second thriller competition of the match were Arizona Ridge Riders and Austin Gamblers. As the evening commenced, the match began with a tie. However coming in for a save, Vitor Losnake, Eduardo Aparecido, and Leandro Machado. Machado having recently joined the team was sent in for a walk-off. Leandro atop Hoka Hey secured the team an 86.75. Breaking off the tie Ridge Riders took the win with 262 – 175.25 in their favor.
With its victory, Arizona beat the Austin Gamblers for the third time this season. The match was also the Gamblers’ 4th loss and Ridge Riders’ 5th consecutive victory. Though the Ridge Riders had a slow start to the season, the winners of the night had an 8-9 to their standing on the 15th while the Gamblers stood atop the table with 13-4.

The PBR Team series continues its hosting through to October. While the Thunder Days sees an end, the Team series is still going strong with the teams as enthusiastic as ever. Besides its Team Series, PBR is also hosting the weekly PBR Stockyard Showcase giving a base ground for emerging bull-riders. With PBR’s persistence, the rodeo community is in for a treat.
