The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. has been a reliable name in the rodeo industry by being the visionaries behind the popularization and broadcast of the sport. Thirty long years into its operations, the organization has come up with a team series, challenger series, and ultimate finals; to push and jostle the bull riding veterans and aspirants alike. Be it a weekly showcase or a months-long season of the battle between the teams, the rodeo community has stood witness to the immense talents of each event.
Joining along on the opportunity, an 18-year-old has claimed to be the rodeo sensation within a few months of debut. John Crimber, who started playing for the PBR in mid-August has claimed several titles in little time. Now making it back on, John Crimber was an echoing name in New Mexico on Saturday.
Young rodeo sensation shines at Ruidoso

It was a crowd-filled night at the Ruidoso Racetrack’s stands in New Mexico on Saturday. As PBR arrived with yet another one of its challenger series, the arena had the crowd on the edge. John Crimber was in for another night to perform what he loves and claim titles worthy of his caliber. The man just knows how to captivate the riders and the spectators!
On the 30th of September at Challenger Series: Ruidoso, it was the youngster under the eagle eyes. On his first round at the event, Crimber was paired with Tootsie Roll. The rider, clear in his aim, displayed a stellar performance by scoring 85.5 points, which further led him to the Championship round. Entering round two, Crimber knew to best the riders in the arena. Riding atop Butterfly Kiss, he scored 82.5 points becoming the only rider to garner a 2-for-2; according to PBR.

Accumulating a total of 126 Challenger points throughout the series, Crimber left the venue as s Champion. Following right behind him was Kaiden Loud who earned 1-for-2. Though he failed to ride atop Kaboom, his second round with Bolo placed him second for the night, scoring an 84. Next on the list were Wyatt Nez with 83, and Stetson Lewis with 81.5. Finally, the last rider joining the top 5 for the night was Douglas Lino de Souza with 80.5.
Outperforming all the riders at the Ruidoso, John Crimber emerged as the only performer lasting 2 animal athletes. While the result surprises the newer enthusiasts, the older ones know the 18-year-old’s mesmerizing showcase in the past months. Besting every performance since his debut, Crimber has performed to astound with each event.

John Crimber triumphs through the Challenger series
Crimber was six when he noted his enthusiasm towards the world of rodeo. Following the steps of his father and renowned bull rider, Paulo Crimber, John knew his calling. Leaving no room to take a step back, John has chiseled through competitions one after the other, emerging at the peak.
His performance at Ruidoso wasn’t the only time John reigned to be the only performer to ride atop 2 bulls successfully. Performing at Cowtown Coliseum one month into his debut, Crimber not only rode 2 bulls but also recorded a score highest in his career. For the first round atop GT – 54H it was a 90-point ride for Crimber; winning him the round and the title. The performance also boosted the youngster’s position to 3rd in the series. Since then, John has added 2 more Challenger Series titles earning a total of 176 challenger points.

The Series’ points earned by the riders lead them to improve their overall standing head further in the field. The series will next take the riders to Fort Worth, Texas on October 5th for the Stockyard Showcase. Crimber’s performances so far have helped him establish a solid base amongst bull riders. Heading forward, the youngster sure nears the Championship titles with every step.
