The World Champions Rodeo Alliance (WCRA) was back with its annual Triple Crown Series for 2023 lasting from Texas in May to North Carolina in October. Interestingly, the season rounded its champions across the first two stops to land at its final leg from October 5th to the 8th. The organization which marked its beginning in 2018, is speculated to raise prize money of $5 Million throughout the course of its tour; honoring the athletes and continuing the tradition of the Rodeo World.

The best of the rodeo enthusiasts across varying elements gathered for a hand at the stakes for the final leg. The disciplines included Saddle Bronc, Barrel Racing, and Team Rope, among more. While the riders contending accumulated massive earnings, the leading Texas Rodeo champ, stood no behind. The popular name in Barrel Racing dominated the field across 3 days of the event; stunning the crowd.

Texas rodeo dominates the weekend at North Carolina

It was a strong start to the week for Stephanie Fryar at Tryon International Equestrian Center, Mill Spring. The Waco, Texas native, landed a total of 17.21 which led her to a win in the qualifying round. The duo, Fryar and Frank continued the momentum onto the 6th of October for the progressive round. Working their magic, the two put up a winning score for the evening with 16.674 which advanced them to the final; reported Barrel House News.

The duo maintained their grip and speed while navigating the course on the 8th of October, which pushed them to the top. Fryer and Frank excellently performed a 16.69-second run in the final round to win the WCRA Rodeo Carolina title alongside prize money of $15,000. The total earnings finally landed at $20,950 after including the go-round money.

The prize and title at the event were just one of the many for the dedicated and determined Stephanie Fryar. The rodeo enthusiast does not know how to sit back. Following her win the previous week, Stephanie jumped back on the field a few days later, proving worthy of her accolades.

Stephanie adds another win to her name

On Tuesday, the 11th of October, Stephanie the Texas Circuit Finals Barrel Racing. It was round 1 of the Circuit series and Stephanie was sure to be under the spotlight. Fryer with her horse, Frank, clocked the finish time at 15.78 seconds. The win earned the duo a total sum of $2,212. The barrel racer raced against 12 other best in the field to emerge atop.

“It’s gone nearly perfect. He won the first round and then he was second last night. And so we’re winning the average so far,” says Fryar according to Fox44 News. The average of the athletes will be drawn by combining the times of each round. The one reigning on the top with the highest numbers will be named the winner while the top 2 will further be cleared to advance to the NFR finals.

If Stephanie manages to land in the top 2, she will be heading to Colorado in July for the Dodge National Circuit Finals. With her impressive consecutive wins, the rider stands to receive a significant boost to her standings. Fox44 News also reports that her win at Waco could lead Stephanie to get her hands on prize amounts from $12,000 to $15,000 in some of the events.
