Flint Rasmussen is a known figure among the bull-riding enthusiasts. The 55-year-old, throughout his career, has reigned as a notable sideline reporter, and an entertainer for the PBR. While he presses on with his initial career, the famous barrel man has also gotten about to work on a new venture. Starting his podcast back in July 2020, Flint has invited famed cowboys and cowgirls alike for a discussion on the field shared in common.

Now as the podcast reaches its 78th episode, Flint has a newer guest on the show. The currently rising star in the industry, Sage Kimzey, has lived a story of inspiration. Battling through injuries big and small, the bull rider persists to be an important part of the community.

As he joins Flint to discuss the sport that has lent Sage to the best of its abilities, the latter took to Instagram to announce the team-up. Captioning the post, Flint wrote, “@sagekimzey joins Flint on this episode. A great discussion about Pro Rodeo, PBR, and more. Check it out at the link in our bio!”

In one of the earlier posts, Flint shared a snippet of the conversation between the two. The video shows Flint asking Kimzey who he thinks is the greatest bull rider of all time. And Sage Kimzey’s answer couldn’t have been more honest. Talking to Flint, he said, “Donny Gay…Donny Gay outrode, outworked, and outlasted everyone else.” He went on to say that work ethics mattered equally well to the performance. And considering Kimzey’s recent presence, the rider seems to stand by his stance.

Kimzey rides for the Cowboys

When the PBR announced its schedule for its 2023 Team Series Season, the teams were obliged to present their top picks. The Carolina Cowboys, not playing around, named Sage Kimzey alongside Josh Frost as the first two picks during the drafts. Sage has since proved to be a needed figure for the Cowboys. However, a couple of days into the season, Kimzey succumbed to an unwelcome injury.

With Kimzey’s exit for six weeks, the Carolina Cowboys saw a steady decline on the scoreboard. But as the world champion returned to the field 2 matches before the home turf weekend, it was a win for the Cowboys. On his initial evenings riding against the Outlaws and Austin Gamblers, the Cowboys took home two consecutive wins. Following the momentum to the home ground, Sage scored a whopping 91-point ride against the Ridge Riders taking a strong lead. Sage has since recorded an 89.25-point ride aboard Buckeye Nation, alongside 2 90-point rides.
