The year 2022 has been a year of downfall for rodeo legend Sage Kimzey, following a shoulder pop-out. Even the 2023 season didn’t see a complete recovery, but he stood against all odds. He returned for the 2024 Unleash the Beast season and tied for silver with João Ricardo Vieira. But a great deal behind his successes goes to his closest ones.

The 7x PRCA bull riding world champion has always kept his family close. Alexis Kimzey, the award-winning journalist, author, and entrepreneur, has always supported her husband through thick and thin. Even Steele Randall Kimzey, the newest adorable munchkin of the Kimzey family, is doing wonders at just 1-year-old. Now, the family has come up with holiday cheers for the fans.

Sage Kimzey has Christmas wishes

Sage Kimzey resorted to his Instagram handle to post a Christmas wish for his fans. The caption reads, “Merry Christmas from our family, cherish those around you. I’m so grateful for my family and all your support. God bless you all.” His caption asserted that he’s asking his fans to live life as it is, while cherishing the loved ones and the well-wishers.

During his unpleasant days, Alexis Kimzey has seen her husband very closely. In the wake of injuries, he underwent challenges and faced game setbacks, despite being in No. 4 according to August standings. But the 3X CBR World Champion gave his commitment to the Carolina Cowboys in 2023 for the PBR Team Series season. The end of October wasn’t gratifying for his team, as they got ruled after the first day, following a seventh finish overall. But Kimzey’s contribution was greater than any injury which tried to pull him back. So, to shed a light on his hardship stories, wife Kimzey made the fans teary-eyed with her husband’s last NFR ride.

Alexis boasts of her champion husband

Resorting to her Instagram story, the entrepreneur praised her husband for his indomitable strength and will to fight. She captioned the story as “Rode his last one with a fractured elbow”, while bringing his champion side out to his followers. His NFR journey may have ended, but he lives for bull riding. At least, that’s what his statement asserted when he said, “The NFR is the dream for every young bull rider, whether they’re starting out or whether they’re 10 years deep into a professional career.”

NFR qualification has always been the reason for excitement for the 29-year-old. Speaking of that, he had said, “That’s always the end goal to kind of get out there, especially with the amount of money you can win at the NFR.” It’s family time for Sage Kimzey and his family, and no matter what, he’ll always keep them above all.
