A good team sport always encourages fan zones and fan engagement. This especially stands true if the series is as big as the ongoing PBR Team series. The season starting in July is scheduled to last through the end of October. With the massive size and period of the event, the sportsmen have also garnered an equally non-tiring fan base keeping the rodeo world constantly abuzz.

The bull riding events are no doubt a thrill ride, an entertaining factor in itself. But for the teams sharing appreciation and hyping the audience, the intense matches aren’t all. In the past week, the Arizona Ridge Riders announced not just a collaboration but also an exciting event for the fans on home ground. Now overtaking the baton, the Texas Rattlers have a fun little pre-event planned for the fans.

Famed chef joins Rattlers to host an exciting evening

The Texas Rattlers along with Texas’ most beloved chef, Tim Love announced on Sunday that the collaboration between the two will present the fans with an exciting event. With its upcoming home ground events, the Rattlers stepped forward to host a cooking battle on the 6th of Oct; marking the home series beginning. Intending after the rules, the battle will be called Rattle Battle.

According to the report on the news by PBR, 12 renowned cooks across the state of Texas will gather to compete against each other. Texas is known for the rattlesnakes, the rules come as self-explanatory. At 3 p.m. on Oct 6th, the 12 cooks will have to cook dishes using rattlesnakes. While the type and method of the dish are open to creativity, the chefs must incorporate the key ingredients. The winner of the contest will be chosen by the audience’s votes and by the panel of experts.

Sharing the news with the fans online, the Rattlers and Tim Love took to Instagram to post the details of the event for the Rattle Days. Captioning the post, the two wrote, “Join us for the inaugural Rattle Battle hosted by @cheftimlove!…Mule Alley will never be the same”

“We’re thrilled to partner with Chef Tim Love – one of Texas’ most esteemed and loved restauranteurs – to bring this unique culinary experience to the historic Stockyards and our Rattler Days fan festival,” said Chad Blankenship, General Manager of the Texas Rattlers according to PBR. The winner of the competition will receive a $2500 cash prize and $1000 worth of gifts.

The Mule Alley at Fort Worth Stockyards will host the event welcoming guests and fans from around. Apart from the competition, several little events will follow the day one. A fan meet and greet, a pancake breakfast, a musical performance, an open bar, and much more. However, the off-field entertainment isn’t all that the Rattlers have provided the fans. The PBR Team has proven quite successful in the season so far.

Texas Rattlers take on the Rodeo world

The Texas bullriding team is currently being led by Cody Lambert has embodied just the right amount of talent. The famed bull riders like Brady Fielder, Daniel Keeping, Brady Oleson, Braidy Randolph, and Joao Ricardo Vieira all mark their presence in Rattlers. While Gleaves who is now traded provided a 90-point ride leading the team to a win, Vieira on Sunday became only the eighth rider to join the 400 rides club.

And with their individual stance, the members have provided the team with a solid stand. Winning back-to-back matches at the Ridgedale, during Thunder Days, the team has fixated on their position second on the table. With a 1-9 scorecard, the team falls four points below the dominant team of Gamblers.

The existing gap the team will hope to cover on their home ground. Visting Rattlers in Texas will be Austin Gamblers, Kansas City Outlaws, Missouri Thunder, and Nashville Stampede.  The team matches will start from the 6th with Rattlers going against Freedom and further followed by Gamblers, and Stampeded.

The entertainment and intensity are all packed in one, the rodeo enthusiasts will have just the perfect start to their October. As the Rattlers take on the 1st positioners and the other teams, the nearing end of the league revs louder; and more clearly for the teams still aiming for a spot in the finals. Will the final week of the league witness a shift in the table? The fans just have to wait and see.
