The PBR has held a solid ground when it comes to delivering a good event. In the weekly stockyard showcase or the PBR Team series, the rodeo enthusiasts are going to be constantly stunned by the performances and results. Now, with its blazing event racing to the end, the organization has the bull riding community’s attention beheld now more than ever.

The PBR Team Series marked its beginning on July 24th has now completed two months embracing quality and intensity at once. With the Championship Finals scheduled on October 20th and only a few more matches on the map, the teams are racing to top the table. And among the 8 teams, giving it all is the Carolina Cowboys. The team is at its crucial stand as it plays on home turf and buckles up for the top spot.

The Cowboys Dominate the Home Ground

On Friday, the Greensboro, North Carolina, welcomed the Carolina Cowboys to their home ground ready to defend the Arizona Ridge Riders. Starting off the match with a slow pace, the Cowboys lost out the first three frames. However, coming for a save was 2016 PBR World Champion Cooper Davis and 7-time World Champion Sage Kimzey.

The renowned rodeo star, Kimzey, jumped atop Mike’s Motive, winning the team a whooping 91-point ride. Sage’s performance gave the team a 3.25-point lead against the Ridge Riders, obliging them for a winning ride. Keyshawn Whitehorse rode atop Magic Carpet for 86 points, pushing the Ridge Riders to an 82.75-point ride. However, the score was not enough for a win as Davis stepped in for a close as reported by PBR.

The World Champion proved worth his title as he performed a walk-off for the Cowboys at the closing. Atop Black As Coal, Davis’s walk-off win was his first one for Carolina. With his performance, Cooper scored 87.25 points, taking the lead over Carolina by 4.5 points, ending the night with 178.25-173.75. Sharing the victory, the PBR took to Instagram, calling fans in for a celebration.

Rodeo Community Awaits the Unexpected

The start of the season wasn’t exceptionally great for the Carolina Cowboys. A day into the series, Daylon Swearingen and Sage Kimzey, two of the important players sustained unprecedented injuries. However, now with Kimzey back on track, the team has been maintaining a pace that has landed them right near to the lead.

Out playing Kansas City Outlaws and Austin Gamblers on 16th and 17th, the team put on board a score of 9-10. placing fifth. Now defeating the Ridge Riders has pushed the team to the 4th position with 10-10. The team’s performance seems to be working worth the word of the coach, Jerome Davis who remains optimistic about the team’s way into the finals.

Carolina Cowboys will next be facing Oklahoma Freedom and Nashville Stampede on the home turf. The team has maintained a streak of three consecutive wins, including one on the home ground. And expecting continued momentum, the home awaits a bigger win in the coming month.
