The bull riding champion, Sage Kimzey, had instantaneous success in his career, winning Rookie of the Year and the world title consecutively. 6 more titles later, the icon today stands a chance to equal the winning record at 2023 NFR. Along this sojourn of highs and lows, his wife and journalist, Alexis Bloomer, has been his ride or die aka emotional outhouse. And the rodeo icon ensures not to forego an opportunity to acknowledge her vivacious presence.

This time around, as Sage Kimzey added yet another title to his name at the persisting 2023 NFR season, Alexis stood by in solidarity, jubilance and triumph. Overwhelmed with emotions, Kimzey took the stage not to receive the winning honors, but to express his gratitude to one staunch supporter for her constant support.

Kimzey and Alexis share a bond dating to the rodeo star’s early career. Through each of his buckles, the journalist has pushed through. Last year, Kimzey encountered an injury forcing him to sit out most of his events, including the NFR. And Alexis ensured to be the shoulder Kimzey needed. “I wanted her to be up here with me because she never gets the credit she deserves…” Sage added in his winning speech, shedding tears along. The gesture was equally emotionally received by Alexis and the spectators, which she shared on her Instagram stories.

“Yasss Rodeo champ @sagekimzey giving his beautiful wife and my client @alexisbloomertv her flowers. So beautiful,” Alexis’ hairdresser’s story read. Proud and grateful, the journalist put forth her reciprocation. “I know I am biased, but you are the GOAT as a husband and in the arena. I am so proud of you,” a gist of her caption read.

The season comeback was a testament to Kimzey’s persistence and excellence. Rising from a life-threatening injury more than once isn’t an easy feat. While the rider ambled towards recovery, it was Alexis on the lending end.
