The 4-year-old under the limelight happens to be the only son of the rodeo legend, JB Mauney. The famed bull rider has made quite a name for himself in the sporting community. Joining PBR in 2005, JB has some unbeatable records to his name. Known for his strength and vigor, he has displayed a seamless character on the field.

Mauney was one of the only three performers to stay on the bull, Bushwacker for 8 full seconds, and one of the only 5 to get a qualified ride on Asteroid. In 2013 and 2015, Mauney won the world championship for PBR and reached his pinnacle in 2017 when he reached $7000000 career earnings; the highest amongst any cowboy. Being classified as an elite rodeo, JB Mauney has also made it to the Bull Riding Hall Of Fame.

However, JB Mauney isn’t the only one with all the achievements. Mauney’s father-in-law and Jagger’s grandfather was a champion of his time. Born in 1947, Phil Lyne was a notable cowboy competing in the Rodeo Cowboys Association. In 1969, the same organization awarded Lyne Rookie of the Year. In 1971, he won the all-around world cowboy championship at the National Finals Rodeo and repeated it again the next year. In 1972, he also set a record for earning $60,852 prize money in a single season.
