The two-day event: Clem McSpadden National Finals Steer Roping 2023 has taken center stage kicking up dust in a cloud in Kansas Star Casino. The nation’s best steer ropers came to the historic event, held at the Kansas Star Casino in memory of the late announcer Clem McSpadden, to display their prowess in the ageless art of rodeo. With the arena humming with anticipation, the official PRCA account tweeted, “Miss Rodeo America, Kennadee Riggs, is ready for the National Finals Steer Roping to kick off at the Kansas Star Arena!”

Donning a custard yellow jacket with a beautiful bead design Riggs stood out in her cowgirl outfit. She witnessed the contestants’ tasks which were to quickly and precisely rope and tie steers under the open sky. Expectancy hanging in the air like the smell of hay and leather, the crowd?a cross-section of veteran sports fans and newcomers?sat down to watch the cowboy show.

Who is Kennadee Riggs?

Kennadee Riggs became an iconic figure in the rodeo sphere among the thrills of the arenas and the beat of the National Finals Steer Roping. The 23-year-old is Miss Rodeo Arizona 2022 representing the Grand Canyon State. She skillfully combined her passion for rodeo with her academic pursuits. Kennadee is not just a queen on the field but also a supporter of compassion activism. She is currently a journalism student at Arizona State University. Beyond the arena, she served in the Arizona, Oklahoma, and Brazil churches for eighteen months.

Riggs also gives back to the equestrian community by volunteering to train Brazilians in English and Portuguese. She runs The Kindness Journal Podcast, manages social media, and models in commercial commercials for Western businesses. More than just a title and a crown amid the dusty grandeur of the rodeo arena; she is the epitome of talent, tradition, and the everlasting spirit of the American West.
