The rodeo world is buzzing with excitement as the 2023 PBR Camping World Team Series is headed toward an unforgettable finale. With less than 17 days left for the biggest bull riding event of the year, the fans cannot wait for the action to begin. The phenomenal Austin Gamblers squad has already secured the first finalist spot. The League’s No. 1 team has maintained its fiery spirit, but now the heat of the competition will blow through the roof as one challenger has reached for their crown.
The competition will reach its piping-hot stage in the upcoming weeks as Kansas City Outlaws fight for the second bye to the finale. The team, under the leadership of the rodeo’s Iron Man, J.W. Hart, has performed tremendously in the 2023 season. However, they are not done yet, and they will make another big leap for the coveted bull riding trophy. Will they succeed in toppling the competition?

Last week, the Kansas City Outlaws gave a glimpse of their winning potential at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale. The squad triumphed with a display of rodeo excellence from their star-studded roster. 21-year-old bull riding phenomenon Cassio Dias deserves special mention, whose performance was enough to unnerve even the most veteran athlete in the sport. But his job is far from over as Dias and his fellow Outlaws will have to fight for the second and final bye to the finale. According to PBR.com, the Kansas City Outlaws are one of the four teams with multiple event wins this year. After Sunday’s victory in Glendale, Arizona, the orange and black squad is girded to add more accolades to their wall of fame.
They have now joined the elite company, with Austin Gamblers leading the charts with one more win. Their biggest competitors for the finalist spot are the Texas Rattlers and the Arizona Ridge Riders. But the 15-10 squad has already secured a two-point advantage over the two teams. While it may translate to easy sailing on paper, in reality, it puts them in a precarious position. The riders have an uphill battle ahead of them that will be both grueling and rewarding. But with the best odds of getting to the finale, none of the riders are backing down.

Kansas City Outlaws to face a big challenge
The Kansas City Outlaws can almost taste the win after securing three event titles in the 2023 rodeo season. However, the team looks very different from what it did before, owing to the recent shuffle last month. The squad bid farewell to captain Eli Vastbinder, who went to the Texas Rattlers in exchange for Dawson Gleaves. They even allowed the Nashville Stampede to make away with Chase Outlaw. Gleaves is currently off-commission due to an injury, making the difficulty for the Outlaws more pronounced.

In the midst of these challenges, Oklahoma Freedom is gearing up to give the Outlaws a run for their money. Their star rider, Caden Bunch, has come into his own and become more competitive. Head Coach Cord McCoy has issued an open challenge not just to the Kansas City Outlaws but the No.1 PBR team, saying, “Big win to take down the No. 1 Gamblers and start the weekend on a good note, but we’ve kind of felt it coming, that momentum”. Suffice it to say, the rodeo fans are in for an exciting showdown in the coming weeks.
