The historic and one of the largest horse shows in the country will be back in 2024. The three-day horse show event contains in its bag something for everyone. The Midwest Horse Show is scheduled for April next year and the preparation for the grand three-day event is in process. In that direction, organizers have announced that Amberley Snyder, the famous paralyzed barrel racer, will take part as a clinician in the event. Amberley Snyder, the famous barrel racer on whom ‘Walk Ride Rodeo’ Netflix biopic is based. Snyder was born in California and raised in Utah. She started riding at the age of three and began taking part in rodeo competitions by the age of seven.

In the year 2009, when she reached her senior high school year, she won National Little Britches Association Finals and World All-Around Cowgirl. In the year 2010, she met an unfortunate event that changed the course of her life. Snyder was traveling from Utah to Denver, Colorado for the National Western Stock Show.

During her trip, she got into a road accident in which the vehicle rolled over several times and she ejected from it. Snyder hit the fence post after ejection, resulting in paralysis from below the waist. But the passion for the rodeo never died and pushed her determination to overcome the barrier. With the support of her family and coach, she bounced back, and within four months, she was on the back of the horse.

After her accident, in 2015, she competed in the world’s richest one-day rodeo, ‘The American’. She also qualified for fans exemption to The American Rodeo in 2021 and the Pro Rodeo Wilderness Circuit Finals in 2022. Snyder is a motivational speaker, writer, and prominent social media personality who inspires people with her story.
