The world of rodeo provides plenty of experiences for the Cowboys willing. With about 7 events under the jurisdiction of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), a rodeo enthusiast could find weighing interest in more than one. Keeping along, for 27-year-old Connor Murnion, the stance particularly worked up, as he persists in juggling dual events; bull riding and saddle bronc.

Murnion joined the PRCA circuit back in 2018. And ever since, he has moved up the ladder steadily for years. Today, as he continues to get rodeo entries for the domains he loves best, Murnion reveals what drives him further in the rodeo field.

The rodeo aspirant’s ultimate goal

Rodeo became a dream of middle-schooler Murnion when he first stepped into the NFR arena. The excitement, the atmosphere, and the spectacle on the ground were enough to pull him to embrace a Cowboy role. Despite many hearts, the aspirant kept along until he finally made it to PRCA in 2018. $130,178 in career earnings, 20th All Around, 76th in saddle bronc, and 33rd in bull riding World standing the past year showcase the grit Connor has held along. After all the numbers to his name, Murnion joins the thousands of aspirants in hopes of making it to the ultimate rodeo stage.

“For this year my goal is to get to the NFR in Las Vegas in December and win as much money as I can,” said Murnion according to 406 MT Sports. The 27-year-old further added that after watching NFR as an 8th grader, he couldn’t wait to get there.” Hopefully this year I get there,” he states to conclude. Connor, who is staunch on making it to the stage has begun the process of preparation to quench his 8th-grader self’s curiosity and enthusiasm.

A journey to heed enthusiasm

To officially begin his journey, Connor Murnion tried for the 28th Annual Chase Hawks Rough Stock Rodeo. Murnion who tried entering for both bull riding and saddle bronc was bested initially by fee and then the rider entries. Nonetheless, keeping hopes higher, the aspirant has made it through the qualifications to compete in the Montana Pro Rodeo Circuit Finals in bull riding in Jan at Great Falls.

“I’m trying to win the average up there,” he revealed. “I can’t win the year end, but I’d like to ride all three bulls and win as much money as I can.” Murnion, who is currently positioned 7th in MPRC will look to keep the aim alive with a win and multiple rodeo entries for the upcoming season.
