The 2023 PBR Canada Season hosted its first annual Ty Pozzobon Legacy PBR on the evening of Thursday. The ongoing season has gathered the best of the rodeo stars throughout the year to earn themselves the most coveted spots on the table. Over the week, the season reached the final showdown for the regular season, and the evening at Calgary couldn’t have been more tense.

On the 27th of October, Alberta hosted one of the final stops of Season 2023 before heading back to the elite Cup Series. Some of the big names in the industry stepped foot to either maintain their top spot or overtake the best to rise further. While the table toppers battled each other along with the rest, the 22-year-old Springfield native dominated the night; and did so to not just win the event, but head closer to the prize.

22-year-old Weston Davidson has been steadily making his presence known in the industry; climbing the table one spot at a time. However, when the youngster entered the arena on Thursday, he made sure to have the spotlight on him. A year ago, Weston won his first PBR Canada event in Alberta defeating the best of the names. On Thursday, back in Alberta, the youngster made sure to repeat history. “85.5 in the long round and 87.5 in the short go to get the honours of winning the 1st annual @typozzobon legacy,” he captioned sharing his victory.

Davidson had a strong start to the evening in round 1 as he rode atop Imma Big Deal for 85.5 points landing 2nd. He then came back for a win in the Championship round atop Wild Time. Davidson put up a total score of 87.5 for the night and garnered 37 national points. The boost pushed Davidson from the 18th spot on the table to the 17th; which would mark the assurance of his qualification for the 2023 PBR Canada National Finals.  As Watson Davidson immersed himself in reaching 17th or above, the top-of-the-table bull riders had an intense evening of overtaking each other.

Aaron rode El Patron for 85.5 points, followed by 85 points at Emerald Inn during the championship round. He landed in second position for the night and earned 29 national points.
