The Cowboy Channel was the first to report the news. On Saturday, KeAnn Hayes of Colorado, tied the fastest record in breakaway roping. She did the job in a mere 3.5 seconds and equaled the previous record held by Martha Angelone; it was also the fastest time of the overall Cheyenne Frontier Days.

With this thunderous speed, she won the semi-final in no time and claimed the $6,000 prize. Talking about her performance, she stated, “We’re having fun out here, so you have to use every good calf you get.” She added. “It sure is a lot of fun when you win.”

She also gave credit to the calf for behaving himself, which ultimately helped her claim the big win. With this win, she will be joined by Joey Williams in the finals. Other cowgirls who will be joining them will be Anna Callaway, Misti Brown, and Brandy Schaack for the ultimate finals. It might be surprising for those who don’t know her, but she has pulled off some real miracles in the past as well.
