Mountain View Hospital proudly presented the spectacle, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended. The Spanish Fork Fiesta Days Rodeo, now in its 82nd year, remained a cherished tradition during Fiesta Days.

This year’s event witnessed the emergence of Leon Fountain as the triumphant champion, etching his name into the rodeo’s storied history. From July 19-20 & 22-24, 2023, the thrilling Fiesta Days Rodeo unfolded, creating unforgettable memories for everyone involved. As the cheers of the crowd subsided it was evident that the spirit of the rodeo will be here always.

Leon Fountain dominates Fiesta Days Rodeo triumphantly

Rodeo Performer Leon Fountain’s Big Win 6 Years After Joining PRCA with $91,031 in Career Earnings at Fiesta Days Rodeo. In a 1 min 12-sec Twitter video by PRCA ProRodeo, his victory is celebrated with background music by Graffiti Ghost’s “This is what I live for”. Posted on Jul 27, 2023, the video has 2,247 views and 8 retweets. Hailing from Corona, New Mexico, Leon ranks 15th in the world and aims for his first trip to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. 

Fountain secured two go-rounds and $16,000 at the Calgary Stampede, riding the bucking horse called Tickle Pink, the second high-marked ride at NFR. The commentator praised his skills, saying, “Leon Fountain showing you how to ride a bucking horse”. Recently, it was déjà vu for Leon as he scored consecutive victories with 86.5-point rides on Calgary Stampede’s Flying Carma and Business Girl.

Leon Fountain shines with back-to-back victories

During the Calgary Stampede’s Fiesta Days Rodeo, Leon Fountain demonstrated exceptional skills. He won rides on Flying Carma and Business Girl, earning identical 86.5 points on consecutive days. The Pen of Broncs on 8 July showcased rising talents from the Calgary Stampede’s bucking horse program. The Cowboys faced challenges due to the unfamiliarity of the Broncs. Fountain claimed another first-place victory in Pool A, boosting his Stampede earnings to $14,000.

During Cowboy Christmas, he secured wins in St. Paul (Ore.) and placed in Greeley, Colo. Additionally, he competed in Ponoka, Alberta, and Cody, Wyo., earning a total exceeding $10,000. Despite facing a mystery horse, Fountain’s instinctual approach led him to handle the situation with precision. With his exceptional performance and a lineup of other remarkable events, Fiesta Days Rodeo continues to be a highlight of the rodeo calendar.
