Bull riding is all about the strength and effort the rider puts into his ride. The rodeos at PBR Team Series Stampede Days have shown that very well. The Professional Bull Riders Camping World Team Series is underway at Bridgestone Arena. In this stampede, the PBR teams are up against each other to find a winner and score the highest to stay on top of the chart.
In the Nashville Stampede, the event named Kansas City Outlaws vs. Texas Rattlers was one of the highest-scoring games. There was stiff competition between the two teams, with many rodeos showing formidable performances and scoring the best in the game. One such name was Braidy Randolph, who managed to create something different for his team.

The 23-year-old Braidy Randolph was playing for his team, the Texas Rattlers, when he achieved a rare feat. The Texas Rattlers were competing against the Kansas City Outlaws in a neck-to-neck fight to win the stampede. When Braidy came for his ride, his team’s score was 258.25, and the Kansas City points were 176.75. Braidy was riding UTZ BesTex Smokestack, the bull, which is 10th in world standing and has a 71 buckoff percentage with a 45 average score. It was going to be a tough ride, but the rodeo star was all prepared for it.
As the gate opened, UTZ BesTex Smokestack started to buck off his rider with all his power, trying every angle and trick. During the ride, Braidy’s helmet came off due to the force of the bucking by the bull, but he held his position tightly. The young rodeo managed to hold on for eight seconds, scoring a rare feat of 90.25 points. He was his team’s fifth rider at the event, and with his score, the team’s score shot up to 348.50 points, which won them the event after their opponent managed to score 267.75 points. Braidy’s ride score was the second-best behind Cassio Dias’s 90.75-point ride for the Kansas City Outlaws, but his ride made the difference. The young rodeo’s efforts stunned the arena, as he was the guy who, a few years ago, was lying in a hospital wondering whether he would be able to continue his bull riding career or not.

Braidy Randolf has always liked bull riding since he was young. When he was in his second year of high school, he left it to chase his bull riding ambition. At the age of 14, he started making money in rodeos. Since his high school days, he has been competing with the best in the game. Braidy’s grandfather’s advice kept him from doing the impossible. He told Braidy to always focus on eight seconds, and if he managed those seconds, it would create the winning score.
In 2019, however, the young rodeo star suffered a gruesome injury that threatened his career. He had broken his left leg in four places, which were later connected with rods and pins. But that was not all; after that, he noticed pus coming from an area of the surgical incision in his leg and also had severe pain in it. During the hospital visit, it was confirmed that he had an infection that was adversely affecting his leg, rendering him bedridden. But luck was on his side, and he successfully recovered from it. Braidy is in 13th place in the Unleash the Beast rank with 4 events won and has earned $226,000 in his career to date.
