In August this year, the bull-riding world was introduced to a rising star in the industry: John Crimber. The youngster, one month into his career, was already the talk of the industry. Since making an appearance, John has earned 8 Challenger Series titles and multiple 2-on-2 rides for the events. PBR, announcing Crimber to the world for his Unleash the Beast entry, tagged him as the ‘Teenage Phenomenon,’ and they couldn’t have been more right.

After conquering the grounds in the USA over the challenger series, the 18-year-old had soaring ambitions. With the ongoing 2023 Canada Cup Series, John announced his presence at the contest and did so brilliantly. However, after incurring a mouth-gaping win, another sport seems to have held the interest of the youngster according to his recent update.

Bull riding sensation cheers for a new sport

On the 2nd of November, John Crimber took to his Instagram story to share a glimpse of his Thursday night venue. Sporting an Edmonton Oilers jersey over his cowboy look, John was photographed experiencing Canada the Canadian way.

The youngster attended the Thursday night game of hockey between the Edmonton Oilers and Dallas Stars. “Little bit of hockey on a Thursday night with the boyz!!!,” the youngster exclaimed. Interestingly, John wasn’t out enjoying the games alone. Fellow bull riders, Nick Tetz, Conner Halverson, and Tanner Eno joined John days before the championship night.

John Crimber got himself to Canada to set foot in the 2023 Canada Cup series. The season has run through most of the year to accumulate the best in the field to fight for the ultimate title. As the series held its final regular season event on the 28th of October, John contested to dominate the night; leaving the audience in awe of his stride.

John dominates Canadian ground

The regular season final held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan was a Canadian debut ground for John Crimber and he did not make it seem so. The youngster went in for a perfect 3-on-3 for the night; pulling a total of 144.5 Canadian points for the night. His cores included an 83.5-point ride atop Desperado, a round-best 87 points aboard Uncle Rico, and a staggering 91.5 ride atop Langham Kid.

Crimber’s performance not only earned him the event win but also garnered a berth at the 2023 Canada National Finals. ?I was pretty excited, having never been to Canada before,? Crimber told PBR.com. “…I was nervous, normally I cross the border to Brazil with my family. Everything went well and I came up and did my job.??

Crimber is currently placed 22nd in the Canadian standings heading to the finals in Edmonton, Alberta. Following his win, Crimber will be facing fellow bull rider in the story, No. 3 Nick Tetz alongside Dakota Buttar, and Cody Coverchuck among others On the 17th and 18th of November.
