In the previous year, Dalton Kasel who is from Muleshoe, Texas put on a fantastic show in North Little Rock. He was in great form continuously having won a competition in Los Angeles. This achievement moved him up from fourth region to 2nd in the international ratings for the 2023 World Championship.

Kasel’s road to victory began in the first round when he successfully performed Old School Cool and tied for fifth. He then consolidated his position in the second round, scoring an impressive 88.25 points with a win on black ice. ?I figured that it would be good to have some sort of momentum going into Finals instead of going cold turkey and getting on the best bulls there are in the world. Get a little wakeup call coming to the same kind of deal.?He said.

His highlight came in the championship round when he picked out UTZ Bestex Smokestack to score an impressive 91.25, tying for the round win and earning his second consecutive win in the Unleash the Beast event.

While Kasel continued to be a force to be reckoned with throughout the 2023 season, earning a place in his fifth consecutive World Finals, he ultimately concluded the season in fifth place, missing the gold buckle.?Just felt good, going to physical therapy,? Kasel said. ?I love riding bulls, so I?m ready to be back as soon as I can, and I felt like this was going to be the best time to come back.?
