The snowboarding champion, Shaun White, has recently been on the highlights. The three-time Olympic gold medallist masters in half-pipe snowboarding. White has achieved the highest number of gold medals in X-Games as well as Olympics.

Despite being an expert in snowboarding, the athlete never steps down when it comes to exploring other areas. According to him, trying out other fields and growing new interests is what makes life worth living. With such an inspirational outlook, White never fails to win hearts.

Among some unknown facts about the legend, one involves Red bull helping him build a private superpipe.

White’s superpipe built by Red Bull

White is one of the most experienced snowboarders in the world. He is also a skateboarder.

Pairing up with the company; Red Bull, White designed a personal superpipe during the winter of 2009. It was built in a back bowl on Silverton Mountain in Colorado which cost a whopping $500,000.

When we sat down in the beginning of the season, the idea came about to do my own half pipe. I sat down with Red Bull and the group I work with there,” said the iconic skateboarder, Shaun White.

The team worked together and came up with the idea, which really impressed White.

It’s just unreal they really kind of came through for me and were able to come up this idea.”

It was a huge 22-foot pipe with a foam pit. While it seems unreal and imaginary, Red Bull made White’s dream come true.

Building a private superpipe has been White’s wish for a long. With Red Bull’s constant support, the athlete could finally take a step ahead and form his superpipe.

It allowed White to practice and try some flips and tricks which he contemplated over the years. The superpipe turned out to be an inspiration for introducing new acts into his performance.

It’s just an amazing thing to have RIT will step in there for me and take the distractions as normally in my ear and just take them out of the picture and let me really explore the boundaries of what I could do it,” said White.

The athlete will next be seen in the Beijing Winter Olympics, which will be his 5th Olympics.
