Geaux Rocket Ride and Mage Shine in Classic Rankings

According to Paulick Report, the schedule for the Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) unfolds on November 4  2023 at the revered Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California. Following this, Richard Mandella returns to the Haskell Stakes (G1) in 2023.  23 years were worth waiting for. Geaux Rocket Ride, a bay Candy Ride colt owned by Pin Oak Stud and trained by the esteemed Richard Mandella, has been on a remarkable trajectory.  His spectacular feat catapulted Geaux Rocket Ride from the 30th position to a formidable sixth in the latest Classic Rankings.

Till now it has garnered an impressive 160 votes. Along with this, Mage, as the winner of the Kentucky Derby presented by Woodford Reserve (G1), gracefully ascended from sixth to fifth place, earning a commendable 178 votes. 

Cody’s Wish Leads the Charge

Setting a commanding pace in the Classic Rankings is Godolphin’s majestic contender, Cody’s Wish, establishing itself as the frontrunner with an astounding 315 votes. Following closely behind is West Will Power, owned by Gary and Mary West, who clinched victory in the Stephen Foster Stakes (G1), securing second place with a respectable 233 votes.

Not to be outdone, Forte, owned by Repole Stable and St. Elias Stable, claimed third place with an impressive 206 votes, having displayed an exceptional performance as the runner-up in the Belmont Stakes (G1). On the heels of Forte is Defunded, triumphant in the Hollywood Gold Cup Stakes (G1) and owned by the triumvirate of Mike Pegram, Karl Watson, and Paul Weitman, firmly securing fourth place with 193 votes. Each passing week heightens the excitement, as fans eagerly anticipate the weekly rankings set to be announced on October 10. Their diligent evaluation involves a rating system of 10-1, in descending order.
