By displaying equestrian excellence, the Australian jumping team has claimed their tickets to Paris Olympics 2024. The team clinched a massive success at Longines Tops International Arena in Valkenswaard, the Netherlands, where they won at the Paris 2024 FEI Olympic Qualification Event for Group G.
For qualification at the Olympics, Australia had to attain either first or second place in the throat cutting competition in the Netherlands. It was very succinct that Australia was the team leading and who left the other opponents behind. With an absolutely wonderful performance at the event, the Australian team proved its worth to be at the Paris Olympics.

In the very first round, it was extremely clear that the Australian team left their opponents from Japan, New Zealand and China behind. According to the Equestrian Australia, the very talented Lauren Balcomb and Hillary Scott were leading the charge. Balcomb with her extremely wise 12-year-old Verdini d’Houtveld Z, attained only four penalties on both first and the second, which was one of the main reasons for Australia’s victory. And not just this, she was also honored with the title of the best performing combination among all competitors. She was seen playing a very major role for the Australian team.
Another team member Hillary Scott smoothly set the standard with an amazing clear round with her talented Es16-year-old mare, Oaks Milky Way. They added just a one time penalty to the scoreboard of Australia.
The other team-mates like Chris Burton riding Chedington Hazy Toulana and Edwina Tops-Alexander who was the final rider for Australia. These two also played very well pushing Australia towards the winning point.
The second round carried both moments of victory and challenge for the team. But they gave a solid performance securing the winning position. Even in the second round, all the players did their best.

Bitter sweet victory of the Australian team
Australia finishes with an amazing score of 23, just a little ahead of Japan with 32, attaining the third place was New Zealand on 46 and China was at 59. This victory is what Australia clearly deserves based on their performances. But it is not the same for everyone as for one of the best performance Jumping Manage, Todd Hinde it will mark the end of his work for Australia.
