Former alpine World Cup legend Lindsey Vonn has never shied away from talking about her mental health issue and insomnia. Hence, when she recently appeared on a talk show, the athlete welcomed the “festive season” in an unusual way.

She shared a post about the same with her followers on social media, along with a beautiful message. Here is what the legendary skier shared.

Lindsey Vonn brings in Christmas with Jennifer Hudson

Vonn is a person of many talents. Even after she retired from skiing, the athlete never stopped working. The greatest alpine skier is a well-known author, entrepreneur, and social media star.

The skier is also an active advocate of mental health well-being and has also opened up about her fight against depression. In her first-ever memoir “Rise: My Story”, Vonn talked about her struggles with insomnia and other mental health issues.

Recently, the skier appeared as a guest on the famous “The Jennifer Hudson Show”, where the two women had a candid conversation about Vonn’s book, her personal life, and the “Christmas season”.

Post-show, Vonn took it to Instagram to post a beautiful picture of herself and Hudson and thanked the host for a lovely time. She wrote in the caption, Thank you @jenniferhudsonshow for having me on. Loved our chat about my book “Rise,” my mental health journey, and my insomnia. Love your spirit and Christmas cheer❤️🎄”

Vonn is known for her bold and never-give-up attitude. Over the years, Vonn has been an inspiration for many. The generous skier also has a foundation that helps many young girls. Once Vonn received a wholesome “return gift” for her kindness.

The skier has always believed in giving back to the community and hence, has her foundation called the Lindsey Vonn Foundation. The foundation provides scholarships to young girls to achieve their academic and sporting dreams.

One such little girl is Seddina Bosna, who suffers from a life-threatening disease. Earlier this month, Bosna uploaded a picture of herself from the hospital holding Vonn’s book. She thanked the star skier and her foundation for all the help and gifts they had provided her. Vonn replied with “purple hearts” on Bosna’s post and reposted the story.
