Home/Olympics

Every athlete has their foot on the pedal right now as they prepare for themselves for the upcoming Olympics. This is also true for the American wrestling stars who are competing at several qualification tournaments for the Paris trials. To bolster themselves for the challenge, many wrestlers also flock to the Olympic Training Center.

The Olympic Training Center houses the top athletes of the nation. The Colorado Springs location equips sportspersons with the best facilities to upgrade their skills and push their boundaries. But what is the day-to-day life at this training center like? Answering this question, a Wisconsin Badgers wrestling star picked up his phone and uploaded a video on social media.

Wisconsin wrestling sensation Seth Gross took to Instagram and uploaded a new reel showcasing the regimen of wrestlers at Colorado Springs. Gross showed every tiny detail of his routine, from “Relyte and vitamins to start the day” to retiring for the day. The camera followed things around at the Olympic Training Center as the wrestlers started their day with a video analysis of some matches. This was followed by practicing wrestling techniques and a sauna session.

The Wisconsin wrestler also recorded several shots of the Olympic Training Center. The video carried the activities that Gross indulged in personally, like watching Team USA boxers and writing something on his laptop.

While the Badgers wrestler has already qualified for the Olympic trials, some of them are still competing for a spot. They will soon indulge in intense wrestle-offs to make it to the training center in Colorado Springs.

Fighting to get a step closer to the Olympic dream

USA Wrestling will be taking fresh members under its wing for the four remaining spots to be filled for the upcoming Olympics. But the grapplers will have to go through a two-layered test before they unlock the doors of Colorado Springs. The first layer will see them compete with each other in wrestle-offs on 3 February. The winning candidates will then head South into the land of Mexico, where they will compete in the Pan-American Olympic trials qualifiers.
