He utilized two four-point moves in the period to overcome Snyder, who’s a four-time World and Olympic champion. As if that wasn’t enough, Tazhudinov then handed Sadulaev his defeat since their clash in the 2017 World finals, when Snyder emerged as victorious. With over a minute left on the clock and leading 9-2, Sadulaev decided to call it quits due to what seemed like an injury around his neck or shoulder area.

Snyder got pulled back into repechage i.e. a chance to win the Bronze medal on Tuesday match, as Tazhudinov defeated Sadulayev in the semifinals. After the match, his fans started sharing photos on the media of Tazhudinov standing next to Sadulaev.
