The No.1 57kg seed had to win his ranking by fighting opposite Nico Megaludis on both occasions. His contention at the 2023 Senior Nationals produced similar results from the Bill Farrel. Lee reached the finals after utilizing his par terre in the previous two matches. In the quarterfinals against Gary Steen, Lee ended the match in 28 seconds with a 10-0 tech fall. For the Semifinal win, Lee had to work hard until the second period to denounce Josh Rodriguez with a tech fall.
