Being a 79 kg wrestler, Jordon Burrough faced a significant obstacle, as he was not eligible to participate in the event. Per the rules, the 79kg spot was unavailable in the upcoming Olympics. Eventually, It was not made a part of the Kunayev tournament. Thus, Jordan was required to either quit his Olympic dreams or shed pounds to become eligible for the competition.
Therefore, Jordan Burroughs decided to return to his prior competing class. Bach, in 2012, Jordan was a 74 kg wrestler competing in the Olympic Weight class, but eventually, he gained weight and started competing in the 79kg category. However, he not only made a weight loss commitment as per the circumstances but also promised himself to clinch gold this time.
