Jordan Burroughs, on December 29th, posted a picture of the late Russian freestyle wrestler Besik Kudukhov. He also expressed his deep respect for Kudukhov through his Instagram post on Kudukhov’s death anniversary. Remembering the wrestling legend, Burroughs captioned the post as “Great Person- Great Wrestler-Great Friend’’. He then further added, “Never Forget. RIP Legend.”

Russian freestyle wrestler Besik Kudukhov passed away at the age of 27 in a car accident in 2013. He was one of Russia’s most accomplished wrestlers, who became the four-time world champion. Kudukhov also showed his wrestling prowess by winning two Olympic medals. Besik took the spotlight at the London 2012 Games by garnering the silver medal. In 2008, he won a bronze for Russia in the Summer Olympics in Beijing.

Besik’s death was indeed a huge loss to the wrestling world. His car had collided with the truck, which resulted in the tragic accident. “The tragedy occurred on the federal highway near Armavir as the wrestler was traveling from Vladikavkaz to Krasnodar,” the reports had confirmed. With this post, Jordan Burroughs once again extended his influence beyond the wrestling arena.
