The USA’s wrestling contingency continues to inch toward their Parisian dreams in the Mexican city of Acapulco. After their fabulous performances in the Pan American Championships securing berths for the US Olympic qualifiers, they continue with the momentum in the Pan Am qualifiers. And on day 2 the women wrestlers of the country rose to the occasion.

On 29th February the Pan American Olympic Games Qualifiers discovered three distinguished performances by the USA’s champion women wrestlers. As the three secured their berth for the US wrestling qualifiers, it marked a victory for the entire women’s squad, as it qualified for all weight classes for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Women wrestlers wrap up business in style en route to 2024 Paris Olympics

USA Wrestling declared that the women’s freestyle has qualified in all six weight classes for the 2024 Paris Olympics to be held in France. After performances by Dom Parrish, Kayla Miracle, and Amit Elor, the women’s wrestling team has wrapped up its day 2 in Acapulco, Mexico. While Dom Parrish, a 2022 World Champion, won for her Team USA with a huge 9-6 win, Kayla Miracle went away with a 3-0 win. Amit Elor defeated Martins Machado by scoring a straight 10-point in the wrestle.

Qualifying for the 2024 Paris Olympics, the wrestlers qualified in each of the six weight categories: 50kg, 53kg, 57kg, 62kg, 68kg, and 76kg women’s freestyle wrestling weight categories, Team USA set its mark for the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics. While Amit Elor secured her spot in the 68kg category, Dom Parrish and Kayla Miracle faced off the best opposition wrestlers in 53kg and 62kg, respectively. However, even before they earned their spots, three more wrestlers had already secured the berth with their performances at the 2023 World Championships in Belgrade.

Excitement awaits the champion women wrestlers

Not just three, but six women wrestlers from Team USA have announced their qualifications for the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics. Sarah Hildebrandt, Helen Maroulis, and Adeline Gray are the other three star qualifiers who shone in the 50 kg, 57 kg, and 76 kg weight categories, respectively. Their qualification was tick-marked last year at the 2023 World Championships, as they finished in the top five then.

Capturing a bronze and earning a quota for the 2024 Paris Olympics was the 9x world and Olympic medalist, Helen Maroulis. She will be running for the third Olympic medal of her career. Adeline Gray, who is a 6x world champion and silver medalist in the Olympic Games, post her qualification, hopes to stand on that top spot on the nearing Olympic day. Sarah Hildebrandt also qualified in the Pan American Olympic Qualifiers with a bronze this season.
