Team USA’s two wrestling prodigies, Kyle Dake and David Taylor are the household names in the wrestling realm. While David Taylor features 3 World Championship golds, Kyle Dake has a collection of 4 World Championship gold. More so, Dake and Taylor often engaged in an uphill battle with each other to claim the victory on the mat. However, when they are off their field of play, both wrestlers share a close-knit bond.

On the same note, the wrestling sensations have recently made it to social media storm not due to their performance on the wrestling mat but for the comaraderie the flaunted following the Hollywood photoshoot. While Team USA enjoyed an incredible shooting experience, Kyle Dake shared David Taylor’s photos, mentioning him as the King of the Castle. 

From wrestling mat to Universal Studios

David Taylor and Kyle Dake are popular among the wrestling spectators for their unbreakable friendship. Recently, best friends David and Kyle showcased their bond of friendship while having a photoshoot at Universal Studios.

Interestingly, following the photoshoot, Dake to his social media handle to express his words of encomium for Taylor. Sharing a still of Taylor, Dake penned, “King of the Castle, King of the Castle, Wawaweewa.”

In the picture shared by Dake, Taylor is sitting on the throne wearing a gold medal. His astonishing wrestling career was the major reason for calling Taylor a king of the castle. Throughout his wrestling journey, Taylor has been among the strongest wrestling sensations who pins the opponent within a fraction of a second.

Along the same lines, both the USA’s wrestling sensations are not only known for their enthralling performances on the world mat but also for unmatched friendship. But, this friendship was different from always, once the wrestling companions were arch rivals competing against each other in the collegiate championships.

David Taylor vs. Kyle Dake

Both the wrestlers feature an astonishing wrestling career but are not counted as opponents as Kyle Dake wrestles at 74 kgs whereas David Taylor competes at 86 kgs. However, back in 2011 and 2012, David and Kyle were rivals in freestyle wrestling at the Collegiate level. While Taylor represented Penn State at 165-pound, Kyle Dake was from team Cornell at 157-pound at NCAA Wrestling Championships.

But, the relationship is different nowadays. The wrestlers share a close-knit connection. Overall, both wrestlers are doing well in their respective weight categories at the global level. Now, the anticipation is about the wrestlers achieving an Olympic gold in 2024 Paris.
