For Olympic gold medalist David Taylor, the road to Paris 2024 is tougher than most others. The Games are only five months away, but the Penn State alum has his eyes set on the team trials, which will commence on April 19 at the Bryce Jordan Center. The aging athlete has his plates full and is having to spend extra hours in the gym to make sure his place in the national team isn’t usurped by a younger contender.
Only days ago, Taylor made it clear that his aspirations want to see him among the highest pantheon of wrestling. And now, it looks like his determination to rise through the ranks might be aided by an unsuspected supporter who isn’t likely to hold back on the cheering duties along the way.

Only hours ago, Taylor revealed that keeping the Olympics in mind, he will be joining hands with Olympic medalist and four-time NCAA champ Kyle Dake for the greater glory of the country. However, the Magic Man’s latest Instagram post shows that his training partners aren’t in short supply. “I’ve had a lot of training partners in my life, but today was a little different“, reads the first sentence of the post, and David’s jubilation isn’t unfounded.

“London did my workout with me, and she crushed it!“, elaborates Taylor in the post as the accompanying video shows the three-time World Championships gold medalist Taylor forging a stronger bond with his daughter. Getting the footwork in alongside her father, little London can be seen having a fun time as she tries her best to match her celebrity father’s pace and determination. “It brings me so much joy to include my family in my preparation“, wrote Taylor, whose fatherly pride couldn’t be ignored.

“As the girls get older they’re able to participate more and it is truly so freaking fun“, mentions the post, making it clear that the road to Paris 2024 is filled with cheerful support for David. But he’s not the only one who is fixed on bringing honor to the US.
Team USA hopeful for uncharted bounty
Serbian-American wrestler Stevan Micic is also sparring with some familiar foes as he trains for the Paris Olympics with three-time All-American Seth Gross. Their collegiate rivalry continues to be the stuff of the legends for the country’s wrestling fans. While Micic has decided to bear the flag of a different country for the upcoming Olympics, connoisseurs believe that their time together on the mat ahead of the big rumble will yield nothing but positive results for Micic.
