For Aaron Brooks, the Penn State wrestler, shifting from 184-category to 197 wasn’t easy. The 2020 Big Ten spearhead had a handsome amount of achievements in that weight category. But under the tutelage of Penn State HC Cael Sanderson, the senior wrestler tried that. The result was success again, but with the heightened ones. Last year, another NCAA title is a testimony of that. So on Friday, the Carver-Hawkeye Arena expected Aaron Brooks on the same pitch.
But this time, his opposition was Iowa Hawkeyes’ Zach Glazier, another wrestling sensation. So the fans were expecting a competitive match between the pound-by-pound categorized wrestlers.

Being the ethereal HC of Penn State, Cael Sanderson is already in the history book. But this time, the former Olympic gold medalist is on the bank of registering the 200th victory as the PSU coach. Amid that, Aaron Brooks did the unthinkable one. The senior class Penn State wrestler defeated Zach Glazier in the ongoing meet on Friday. The Penn State WRESTLING X-handle disbursed, “197: No. 1 Aaron Brooks dec. No. 11 Zach Glazier IA, 5-1 Penn State 25, Iowa 6”

The meekly performing Iowa Hawkeyes couldn’t reflect their HC’s motivational stand. In front of the top-seeding wrestling pack, the Hawkeyes failed miserably. Zach Glazier‘s defeat was the latest part of it. In the bout, the Penn State wrestler took advantage in every round. But the former runner-up in the university open could only stop Brooks from scoring a bonus at ease. Soon, the bout went to Penn State’s side, adding three points to the scoreline. That defeat was quite a heartbreak for the Iowa Hawkeyes camp. In the meantime, it brought a curtain over Zach Glazier’s long-nurtured record.

Before going into the Friday night battle, Zach Glazier held a 19-0 record. For the Hawkeyes, he was the sole full-time starter with such an achievement. But the Penn State wrestling aficionado broke that streak. After that, Zach had a truckload of good words for Brooks.
In a conversation with thegazette. com, the wrestler acknowledged Brooks warmly, “He’s not a guy that’s going to sit back and hold points, he wants to go out there and score points.” So, realizing that Zach Glazier was sure of the upcoming tussle’s toughness on Friday.
