Fans around the globe were shocked when the Penn State wrestling star, Carter Starocci, shared his decision to participate in the NCAA title next week after forfeiting to compete at the Big-10 championship. 

Carter Starocci has won three NCAA championships and is the stronghold of the Penn State wrestling team. Musing about Starocci’s future participation in the postseason, which includes the Big Ten tournament and NCAA championships, the wrestler himself has teased a big update. This comeback is not just about competing, as fans can expect the wrestler to set a major record in the NCAA with the decision. 

Forfeiting Big-10 to compete for NCAA title

Following a leg injury on February 25th, uncertainties surrounded the wrestler and his future in the sport. However, the wrestler stepped forward and shocked the fans with his announcement. Solidifying the plans to compete, he posted on his X account stating, “Big10 title is cool, but NCAA title is cooler. Next Chapter: Kansas City.” Following this was a loud cheer of fans welcoming the 174-lbs athlete. When everybody thought his career might be over due to the injury, the wrestler just upgraded his competition. 

Penn State’s wrestling team won the Big-10 Championship this weekend. The team marked its second consecutive title victory with the event. While everyone was celebrating the top-tier performances, one wrestler had all eyes fixed on him. The elephant in the room was the 174-lbs Carter Starocci, whose injury made him forfeit competing in the tournament. However, now that Carter Starocci has announced his comeback, we can expect to witness an even stronger and well-determined wrestler.

With his clear intention, the wrestler aims to add Kansas City to his check-list.
